Brontë Naylor is an Australian Artist whose career spans both public, gallery and conceptual applications. Naylor investigates ‘collage’ as a strategy to develop aesthetic tension between realism and abstraction. Her practice questions the apparent ‘realness’ of the constructed urban and suburban spaces, when compared to the inextricably linked and celebrated yet ‘separate’ natural world. This experience is from an autobiographical positioning of a modern Australia, explored through collage with painted outcomes. Naylor has contributed to festivals such as Seawalls, Big Picture Festival, Wonderwalls, Banna Lane and made several appearances at First Coat International Art Festival cementing her position as an emerging public artist.
